Orthodontic Dental Assistant position has the following responsibilities and duties:
- Assisting dentists, orthodontists and hygienists during treatments by handling tools and materials
- Providing comfort to patients before, during, and after treatments
- Taking down vital indicators such as pulse and blood pressure are measured and recorded
- Checking patients in, leading them to exam rooms or seats, and assisting them in getting situated in for their visit
- Educating patients about post-procedure care
- Educating patients about appropriate oral hygiene.
- Exposing and processing X-rays under the dentist’s supervision
- Clean and prepare treatment rooms, Sterilize and disinfect equipment per OSHA, CDC, EPA, and OSAP guidelines.
- Performs allowed chairside procedures
- Tray set-ups for bonding and debond procedures
- Perform high quality clinical procedures as licenses allow and as assigned by doctor including scanning impressions, x-rays, placing bands, etc.
- Accurately complete all necessary and appropriate clinical charting of the patient’s status, visit, hygiene and next visit
- Perform lab work as needed for retainers and appliances

We are interested in Dental Assistants who have at least the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Must be available to work Full Time and available for Saturday shifts
- 2 Year experience as Dental Assistant highly desirable
- DA/RDA certification or license highly desirable
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish highly desirable
Salary Consideration: Competitive Salary depending upon experience and qualifications.
