Registered Dental Hygienist should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages, possess deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and have a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies.

On The Job Responsibilities
- Promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act
- Dental hygiene exam and charting of intra-oral and extra-oral conditions, which include periodontal charting, dental charting and classifying occlusion
- Prepare the treatment room by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols
- Prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patients
- Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments
- Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins
- Detects disease by feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession and exposing and developing radiographic studies
- Address dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity- preventing agents
- Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control and postoperative instructions
- Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories and charting in patient records
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
- Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements by following manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results

Qualifications
- NY State RDH License
- Associate's Degree from an Accredited Dental Hygiene Program
- 1 Year Experience as RDH Required
- Current CPR (BLS) Certification Required
- Local Anesthesia Certification Required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
