Partials

What are partial dentures?

Partial dentures are a removable prosthetic device that replaces one or more missing teeth. They snap into place between the existing teeth, filling the black gap where natural teeth used to be.

Partial dentures use the remaining teeth for support and retention. They are an economical alternative to dental implants or bridges, and they provide more comfort than complete dentures. However, unlike dental implants, partial dentures don’t prevent bone resorption and all its consequences, so patients need to understand the long-term effects of this type of denture before moving forward with the treatment.
